Red Royal Trading

So one thing I never really have talked about on here is harrassment in game. Now if you go by what Blizzard tells you, there’s no such thing. Players have the ability to /ignore someone. But what happens when that person, makes new characters, or new accounts, or finds out other ways of contacting you?

For the last year and a half, I have been dealing with some very serious harrassment by a player named Obsidya, before that his name was Eliise. This post is going to have some screen shots, and some logs with bad language so be warned.

Now the story first starts ages ago when Obsidya, was Eliise. For whatever reason,this warlock that I had never met began whispering me asking me to RP, or to ERP. Several times a day I would get tells from him asking me to come play with her. I had no interest, and just said no. Finally at one point or another he offered me 100k gold to ERP with him for 30 minuets. I was not only confused but totally amused. Desperation is a funny thing. I told him no. Another friend of mine that was in vent was aware of what was going on and whispered him with a lol, even money won’t help you. This enraged Eliise, and he came into our vent during raid and began screaming obscenities. Then, the whisper after, a promise, to get in my guild and destroy me.

Eliise all but vanished at that point, and finally wow was calm, or at least we thought it was. Meanwhile the guild kept moving, progressing raiding, new members came and went. And then came the guild application from Obsidya. Now, at the time nobody knew who this 85 mage was. This was a new face to the server, very polite, very well written.

Obsidya became a raider on my A-Team. One evening after a guild wedding during some guild RP, Obsidya approached me ICly, and we hit it off. The RP was fun and engaging and slowly after that point, we began to RP.

My character Syn, had previously been in an RP relationship with someone, and that person decided to come back to the game, and that is when we found out, Obsidya was Eliise. He exploded when he thought that his RP was going to be threatened, and began what has been months of harrassment, suicide threats, begging, pleading. He had lost his mind and I wanted nothing to do with that.

 Everything from, posting my RL info, links to pictures, my phone number. Trade chat, general chat, and yell chat was alive with harrassment.

 

After that, in combination with another player named Phoenix, came the next stage of harrassment, which they took to 4chan.  I could not log into wow for weeks without someone harrassing me in some way or another. The GM’s assured me they were handling it. For over a year and a half, after countless tickets, countless complaints from many many people. Blizzard finally did something about it. They perma banned his account. He lost his raid geared lvl 85’s, and in Blizzards own words, could no longer harrass me from that account any longer.

Wonderful! One step forward. He is banned on his main account and lost everything.

Two steps back, he has made a new account that is warning free, and now has another year and a half to harrass me again before they do something about it.

Ugh all over again…….or not?

And then at that very moment, who comes in game to stand on my head, and troll me? You guessed it. Obsidya on his new toon, in a new guild he made just special to try to ruin me, and bring down RRT in his own words.

Moments later the toon disappeared from in front of me, and the GM then assured me, if he even whispers me that will be the end.

So what happens next? Obsidya hits our guild forums in the application center, and what does he do? Begins posting screenshots of very private RP that we had once had back when I believed he was just a harmless guildie that was someone that could be trusted. Which by the way, if you were one of those guildies that had to see that, I sincerely apologise.

So let’s hope that for once Blizzard really finally gets this creep out of here. I know I am beyond tired and worn out, and this really is harrassment. No amount of /ignore can possibly help when a person goes around that in every way possible.

As a side note, I will say this. Normally I wouldn’t actually mention names of people doing these things. But in this case, I think the worst that can happen is people are warned of someone very dangerous and should be avoided.

I know for a fact, that I am not the only person that this person has harrassed. I know that he has done the same thing to several others. So please be careful out there in Azeroth. Sometimes people are not what they seem.
